About Our Events
"Village Drinks has been a Godsend." - The Independent on Sunday.
So, you've heard about us. But what are our events actually about?
What do you they do and seek to achieve? Well, you can read about them below.
Village Drinks
Our main, monthly, networking event.
Attended by over 600 people, this is the biggest networking gay event of the month. People come to meet other new people from varying industries, including politics, law, and the City. We provide the venue and you provide the company.
It's terrific fun and arguably our best and most popular event.
400 guests, one special venue
Village Women
As many of our monthly main events tend to be quite heavily attended by men, many of our female members have asked us to organise an event just for them. So, we've done just that!
This event is an opportunity to meet like-minded women, to meet socially and network, make business contacts and, most importantly, to have fun! Often, we'll invite a well-known and inspiring lesbian woman along to speak as well. This brings a focus to the event and makes it just that little bit more interesting.
Ladies - you are of course more than welcome at our main event - this is just something extra for you. We hope you enjoy it!
Village Politics
Designed for those who prefer the more quiet and intimate of gatherings, Village Politics is an event restricted to 150 people only and is one for those who like mixing with Members of Parliament, their researchers, lobbyists, journalists, members of think tanks and officials in Government. For every event we invite a high profile speaker along to attend and share their thoughts with our crowd.
So far, speakers have included: Andrew Pierce, Deputy Editor, The Telegraph; Johann Harri, The Independent on Sunday, Nick Boles, Former Director, Policy Exchange; Stephen Williams MP; and Howell James, Permanent Secretary, Government Communications.
