About Me
Hi, my name's Garry and I live and work in London (originally a South Londoner by birth). I like to think I'm intelligent, caring and a good laugh (I'm sure there are lots of other adjectives that are less flattering as with most people!)
I like meeting interesting people, going out, staying in, reading, films - the normal things. I'm also open-minded about lots of other things I rarely do.
Things I do to make a living
I'm an NHS Commissioner working for a central london Primary Care Trust. I spend most of my days working with GPs, Nurses and Hospitals to try to "redesign care pathways" and "move care closer to home" etc. I like my job as it brings me into contact with a lot of interesting people and, although sometimes stressful, allows me to travel around London and occasionally beyond. At the moment a lot of it is about squeezing efficiencies without hurting the front line.
Things that make me smile
Cheesy Dance music, crap 80s horror movies and my first coffee of the day
Things Im not so keen on
Rap/R'n'B music, adverts, intolerant people and bureaucracy
The boring bits about me
I'm sure there are plenty... I have two degrees and am currently doing a third, an MSc at Uni of Birmingham part-time related to work. I support Crystal Palace (unfortunately I'm not loaded or I would bail them out) and have one brother who is also gay (my catholic mum says she doesn't know where she went wrong!)
