Welcome to 2009!

Welcome to our first newsletter of the year. We'd like to take this opportunity to wish you a very happy 2009. May it contain much health, happiness and at least one very large piece of chocolate cake.

This year, everyone at Village Drinks is hoping give all us gay professionals across town the chance to develop our interests, whilst adding spark to our relationships and introducing us all to new, shiny, lovely people.

We hope you enjoy!

The Village Drinks Team :-)
(Always a pleasure)

The Village Dining Club

Seeing as it's the start of the New Year, we've got a load of new stuff to show you. First of all, we've created our very own Dining Club, where we can all enjoyeach-other's company and meet new friends and contacts in new ways.

We're all very excited indeed about this! Host your own dinner parties at home with our members, take cookery classes and dine, once a month, at the very best restaurants in town. For more information, and to join the club, click here.

Introducing "Legal Corner"...with Gay Lawyers

We’re delighted to announce that Gay Lawyers - the LGBT division of Giambrone Law LLP, will be providing “Legal Corner” presence at all of our Village Business, Village Media, Village Politico and Village Women events, and will have a Legal Corner every quarter at our monthly social events.

Their lawyers will be available at these events for guests to approach for a free initial consultation to discuss any legal matters you might have. This special service, exclusive for our guests, provides access to lawyers with expertise on a wide range of matters from advice on all aspects of civil partnership, pensions, wills and property purchase to child related issues such as adoption. They are waiting to help you now.

Village Politics Returns to SoHo House - 22 Jan

Another new thing has happened. Back in the day when everyone on the team were young school girls, Village Drinks was all about politics and current affairs.

In fact, we got our name from the 'Westminster Village'. This year, our political events make a welcome return at the Soho House. The first one is in 3 weeks' time on the 22nd Jan, with the prize winning Times newspaper columnist, David Aaronvitch.

Located on bustling, vibrant Heddon Street in the former wine vaults for the British monarchy, belowzero is a luxurious, stylish lounge bar & restaurant and the perfect place to enjoy great cocktails with other gay professionals this Valentine's Night.

Welcome drinks will be served on arrival. We'll have a live DJ in; and name tags for all. The event will run from 8pm until late. We are strictly limited on numbers, so if you would like to come, please reserve your place in advance, here.
