THE UK GOVERNMENT'S "REAL X-FILES"

This summer, the Xfiles movie will hit our cinema screens. But did you know that the MoD receives more Freedom of Information Act requests on UFOs than on any other subject, including the war in Iraq? So in August, we're starting on a note of intrigue (and healthy scepticism, too) with the author and TV personality, Nick Pope, the former official who used to run the British Government's UFO project at the Ministry of Defence.

Initially sceptical, his research and investigation into the UFO phenomenon and access to formerly classified government files on the subject soon convinced him that the phenomenon raised important defence and national security issues, especially when the witnesses were military pilots or where UFOs were tracked on radar.
